I feel completely obsessed by Bobby Womack’s 110th Street at the moment, and I think that is part due to how fantastically shot and synchronised the opening scene in Jackie Brown is.

From a slow start, then the pace picks up, then lulls again, until the fantastic crescendo which sees Pam Grier running in time with the music and the plane in the background!

The soundtrack is SO good as well, and will fit in with the apparently long and potentially one of the warmest summers on record.
