Colour + Print

by Andrew

From Pitti Uomo, the Jil Sander s/s 2011 collection showed that minimal doesn’t have to mean monochrome, as hot bright, colour blocked pieces flowed in abundance.

The collection however feels very safe in terms of print and silhouette, no doubt the quality levels and cut will be of the usual standard but there isn’t much to get excited about. Sure, the colours are ‘interesting’ but a coloured shirt is a coloured shirt.. and anyway everything Raf does will always be compared to the AW08 Marble print collection which still makes me swoon to this day..
